SPANISH CONSTITUTION 2014

The Spanish Constitution – Las Lomas School

We celebrate the Spanish Constitution in December the 6th every year. This is an important date for the Spanish people. This document was signed in 1978. Spain finds freedom, justice and equality. The capital of Spain is Madrid, our Region is Murcia and the national language is the Spanish. The symbols are the flag (red, yellow and red), the emblem and the national anthem. The highest authority is the king (Felipe VI).
In our school, we wore a cap and coloured it with the colours of our flag, learnt the important of this document and had a debate about the different places in our country keeping in mind the importance of being Spaniards.

THE 5 SENSES SONG

Listen and sing the song. Then, name the senses.

I have 5 senses that I use to help me learn each day. SEE, HEAR, SMELL, TASTE, TOUCH (X3). I use them every day.

My 5 senses help me learn. They’re pathways to my brain. SEE, HEAR, SMELL, TASTE, TOUCH (X3). They’re pathways to my brain.
Now let’s play a little game… How many senses can you name? SEE, HEAR, SMELL, TASTE, TOUCH (X3). 5 senses you can name.

SHREK 3 - TRAILER - VIDEO AND SUBTITLES

EUROPE DAY - 9TH MAY

  • The EU is recognisable by several symbols, the most well-known being the circle of yellow stars on a blue background.
  • The European flag. The 12 stars in a circle symbolise the ideals of unity, solidarity and harmony among the peoples of Europe.
  • The European anthem.  The melody used to symbolise the EU comes from the Ninth Symphony composed in 1823 by Ludwig Van Beethoven.
  • Europe Day. The ideas behind the European Union were first put forward on 9 May 1950 by French foreign minister Robert Schuman. This is why 9 May is celebrated as a key date for the EU
